Any eye injury needs the attention of a vet as soon as possible. Try to cover the affected eye with a dressing to prevent further damage, your pet may try to scratch at it, which could cause further damage.
Eye injuries in short nose dogs can lead to an eye actually falling out of its socket. If this happens, keep the eye moist with a wet dressing or cloth, never attempt to put the eye back in yourself; seek medical help from a vet immediately.
